मानवी का भी मुंडन आख़िर २९ अप्रिल २००८ को हो ही गया | हम सभी प्रातः ८ बजे तक हरिद्वार पहुचं गए | गंगाजी के दर्शन और वहां की सुन्दरता को देख कर मन बहुत ही प्रसन्न हुआ | इससे पहले मैं हरिद्वार करीब २५ साल पहले पापा-मम्मी और रिंकू के साथ आया था | घाट पर कदम रखते ही मुझे २५ सालों पुराना द्रश्य याद आ गया जब रिंकू पापा और मम्मी को गंगाजी की ओर स्नान करने जाता देख रोने लगा था |

आज मैं मानवी का मुंडन करा रहा हूँ | एक साल से भी छोटे बच्चे को गंगाजी के घाट पर लेजाकर उसे कसकर पकड़कर उसके बाल मुंडवाना मुझे तो एक पाप के समान लगा | मानवी बहुत रो रही थी और मुझे ऐसा लग रहा था की वो मुझे कभी माफ़ नही करगी | परन्तू मानवी एक बहुत अच्छी बच्ची है और मुंडन के तुरंत बाद एकदम चुप हो गयी | आप भी मुंडन से पहले और मुंडन के बाद की मानवी की तस्वीर का आनंद लें और मुझे अवश्य बताए की भारतीय समाज में मुंडन की प्रथा का प्रचलन कब और कहाँ हुआ |

I took this SG-237 flight from Delhi to Hyderabad on 29th April 2008. The airplane was very hot from inside and very stuffy as air conditioning was not ON. The vents were simply blowing hot air from outside. Once the airplane doors were closed it became like an oven. Only when the airplane was air borne the inside temperature became pleasant.

What is Spicejet trying to do? Put all its passengers in oven for more than 1/2 hour and expect them to fly with Spicejet again? Low cost doesn’t mean you put your passengers thru such an ordeal.

Spicejet - shame on you.

This post was pending for some time. 1^st experience is always special no matter what. Remember the 1^st time you drove that bicycle without anyone’s help, 1^st time you drove the car, 1^st journey by air or 1^st trip to a foreign land. I can go on and on and I’m sure each one of us has special memories about their 1^st experience. So how was my 1^st experience as father?

Manvi was born on 26^th Sep 2007 at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. I was nervously watching the team of surgeons taking Meenu to the operation theatre. Yes, it was C-Section, it’s common, these are experts but it was also the 1^st time for me and it was still an operation. Million thoughts ran thru my mind as I was nervously waiting outside the operation theatre. Few minutes after 1pm I was called to see my baby. Dr. VK Rao greeted me, asked me if I’m the father and then congratulated me for the birth of a baby girl. She weighed 2.8Kg, cried almost immediately and now she was in my arms. My mind was blank, no thoughts or emotions only pure bliss as I was proudly holding her and watching her eyes. Never before in my life was I so amazed by the nature’s creation. Life was born…

Some arrivals are profound and life changing. I experienced this on 26th Sep 2007 at the arrival of my new born daughter “Manvi“. I’m excited about the change and the joy she is going to bring. To me she is incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.
