This sucks or what?

What would you say when everyday you’re trying to convince your wife to buy a nice big screen plasma TV and one evening you find that your Dell credit accounts has been compromised and some jack ass ordered a 42″ plasma TV and 26″ LCD TV on your account??? This sucks or what? OK - I exaggerated about my wife (I’m still unmarried!).

Last weekend I received a call from a frieght forwarder agent about TV delivery schedule. I thought maybe they dialed wrong number but I got suspicious when they called me again 2-3 days later. I called Dell, reported this fradulent purchase of $4K, placed a block on my account, reported this to FTC, local law enforcement and my credit reporting agencies.

I thought this was it, hell I was wrong or what. This jerk calls Dell and complains why his TV hasn’t been delivered yet and who placed block on his account without his authorization, yeah right you scum. Sad truth to this story is that Dell will simply cancel this charge on my account and this jerk will roam around free. Will local police chase him for $4K? I don’t think so. I’ll simply become a number in the FTC report. Sadly everyone I talked to about this incidence said “we’re seeing such incidences a lot”.

One thing this crook couldn’t steal was my accent as Dell representative said to me “Sir! He didn’t have accent” One more reason why I should never try to change my accent. It is an important part of my identity - can’t be easily stolen by some crook!!
